Had such a brilliant time for my mate's birthday. Had been looking for something quirky and fun to surprise him with, and this was everything I hoped for. We all love music but don't play any instruments, but this is like Guitar Hero with real instruments.I loved belting out Britain's favourite track - Mr Brightside. That is until I checked my emails the next morning, as they send you your session recording.Sarah was wonderful as our host. She joined in, brought energy and was just a perfect part of the experience.Maybe we'll have another 'practice' session some time.

Had a friend visiting London and I was looking for something quirky and fun rather than the main stream tourist things. - he loves music I found this online - was great fun - we did with a small group of us - the guys in the studio were great - made us all feel comfortable - I don't think we can give up our day jobs yet - but do highly recommend this for something a little different.

We attended as a family group. One of the most fun things to do in London. David looked after us really well and soon realised we had a mixed level of ability. It really didn’t matter that most of us didn’t play instruments, the system allows for everyone to enjoy playing. It was a blast!

So much fun!!! Such a unique experience and perfectly themed for a day out in Camden. We love the musical influence throughout the town, so to get our hands on some instruments and create our own music was really special! Big shout out to our “tour manager” David for bringing our band to life 😌🎸

We visited WeJam for a team building event recently and had an absolute blast! We were a bit apprehensive at first as none of us have experience playing instruments but the set up made it easy for everyone to join in. It was great fun to (kind of) play songs we all know and love and even more fun to have a chuckle when things went south! Definitely recommend!

Had a great time for my daughter's 15th birthday. Hard to find activities for that age and wejam did the job! Consider booking an hour and a half/2 hours as you will want more as you begin to get the hang of it. Thanks for a great time.

How it works

It's simpler than you think. No musical skills required.

There's no need to read music. Even an 8-year-old can follow the colours to find the right note

FAQs

Remember, WeJam is 100% suitable for beginners. Don't worry if you've never picked up an instrument before - we'll have you jamming in no time! We also cater to more experienced musicians - everybody in the group can play at their own level.

How does it work?

Each participant chooses their instrument and is assigned a tablet device. Beginners are shown colour coded graphics on screen, guiding them which notes to play. More experienced musicians can choose to see traditional notation or chord symbols instead.

To make things even easier for beginners, our talented team of songwriters have developed super simplified versions of your favourite tunes, meaning you'll only have to play one note at a time. Successfully playing these pared-down parts will unlock and trigger the more complicated original note combinations, meaning everyone can sound like a rockstar!

What's more, if you ever find it too easy, we can ramp up the difficulty level.

I’ve never played a musical instrument in my life, will I really be able to take part?

Yes! No matter your age or ability we’ll have you jamming along to your favourite songs in no time. Using a colour coded system, complete beginners can easily see which note they need to play, and when to play it. The facilitator in the room will also be on hand to help should you get stuck.

How many people can I bring?

We can accomodate groups of up to 8 at our studio, but for pop-up events there's no limit to how many people can take part.

How long is a session?

Standard sessions are 90 minutes but we occasionally offer shorter taster sessions. Longer sessions can also be arranged if you contact the team. Please make sure you arrive just before your session starts as although we will wait for latecomers, we can't, unfortunately, extend your slot beyond the time booked for.

Where do the jam sessions take place?

Jam sessions take place at our secret underground studio, situated beneath Camden Guitars in the heart of Camden Town. The full address is 23 Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 8AG. For pop-up events we can travel almost anywhere.
